Since I was young, I’ve been busy developing all kinda of stuff. It started with qBasic on a Commodore 64. From there I went to do all kind of courses, hundreds of printed pages on my desk, learning CGI/Perl. When the web emerged, so did my interest for it. I started to learn PHP, started making some games in javascript, build my first website in Frontpage.
Many years later I haven’t stopped learning new things, and do not intend to. I love to learn new tech stacks, languages or tooling. I prefer open source and open collaboration. Boosted with CI/CD and DevOps, projects should be one smooth flow to delivery.
I used to work on Ubuntu for the last 5+ years, but recently switched to macOs. For archiving my projects I use my Github, including the organizations like rdewilde-ion

Worked as lead dev on many products like content management system, a lot of iot, rest api’s, tons of websites, narrowcasting, cash register (categoring) incl card payments. Besides development I was mainly responsible for deployments & devops, server architecture (managed servers), git management and technical roadmap/vision. Also non-tech skills like coaching, onboarding, workflow are a part of my job.
